Description
With the soil test kit’s high-quality, pre-measured reagents (HI3896-025), users may quickly and accurately detect nitrogen, phosphorus, pH, and potassium levels. For each of the four measured parameters, there are roughly 25 tests worth of reagents in this replacement set.
The colorimetric tests for nitrogen, phosphorus, and pH are conducted. A hue that reflects the soil’s fertility is created during the tests. The produced colour must be matched to one of the provided colour cards in order to evaluate fertility.
The Ned technique is used by the nitrogen reagents to calculate the concentration of nitrate-nitrogen (NO3—N). These chemicals are made to be used with samples to usually show how much nitrogen is present in a sample in the trace, low, medium, and high amounts.
To assess the concentration of phosphorus as phosphorus pentoxide, the reagents for phosphorus use the ascorbic acid method (P2O5). These chemicals are made to be used with samples in order to usually show the quantity of phosphorus in the trace, low, medium, and high concentrations.
To determine the pH of the soil, the pH reagents use the colorimetric indicator method. These chemicals are intended to be applied to samples whose anticipated pH range is 4 to 9.
A turbidimetric test is a potassium (K2O) test. Turbidity develops when potassium is present in a soil sample. Additionally, a blue hue will appear to aid in reading the test results. The produced colour must be compared to the provided colour card in order to ascertain the amount of potassium present.
The Tetraphenylborate technique is used with the potassium reagents to determine the concentration of potassium oxide (K2O). With the use of samples, these reagents are intended to provide a general indication of the potassium content in the trace, low, medium, and high amounts.
