Hanna Instruments HI99161 Portable Food and Dairy pH Meter
A portable pH and temperature meter designed specifically for use in dairy applications is the Foodcare HI99161. pH monitoring is crucial throughout the dairy processing process to ensure the quality of dairy products.
The FC2023 pH electrode’s robust, washable PVDF housing and conical tip make it ideal for measurements in semi-solids like meats and cheeses. The FC2023 has a free diffusion sleeve reference junction, which prevents typical clogging problems in thick liquids like milk or sauces.

Conical Glass Tip
The conical-shaped tip design enables direct pH measurement in food products including milk, cheese, yogurt, and meat by penetrating solids, semi-solids, and emulsions.
Open Junction Reference
The internal Ag/AgCl reference and sample are connected via a solid gel interface called viscolene in the open junction design. This interface provides a quick reaction and steady reading by preventing silver from entering the sample and making it impervious to clogging.
PVDF Body
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is a food grade plastic that is resistant to most chemicals and solvents, including sodium hypochlorite. It has high abrasion resistance, mechanical strength and resistance to ultraviolet and nuclear radiation. PVDF is also resistant to fungal growth.
