Hanna Instruments HI2030 edge® Multiparameter EC/TDS/Salinity Meter
The result of Hanna’s vision, design skills, integrated production, and top-notch R&D is edge’s ground-breaking design. Although the edge meter is only 0.5″ thick, it is packed with functions to meet the needs of a wide range of clients.
There is a basic mode operation with a streamlined menu and options for people who choose extremely simple operation, and a full featured standard operating mode for those who require extensive functions. You can add more probes to the edge HI2030 EC/TDS/Salinity kit at any moment to detect pH or dissolved oxygen.
Edge employs sophisticated digital electrodes with an integrated microchip that maintains calibration data and immediately transfers it to the meter when it is connected.
Digital Electrodes
With a built-in microchip that maintains calibration data and is immediately accessed by edge once the electrode is plugged in, edge electrodes are extremely sophisticated. Additionally, the 3.5 mm connector on these digital electrodes makes it simple to attach them, so you never have to worry about the pins being lined up correctly.
Four Ring Probe
The HI763100 four ring platinum conductivity probe, which has an integrated temperature sensor for automatically temperature-corrected data, is included with the HI2030 edge EC/TDS/Salinity meter. In contrast to amperometric two pole probes, which have a constrained range and are susceptible to polarization effects, the four ring technique enables a large range of measurements with a single probe. The body of the HI763100 probe is made of glass and PVDF, and the sleeve is PEI (polyetherimide). Both materials exhibit outstanding resistance to a variety of corrosive substances.
3.5 mm Probe Input
It has never been easier to attach an electrode; there are no alignment requirements and no damaged pins; simply connect the 3.5 mm connector and begin going.
edge® is remarkably adaptable. Without taking up the space of a conventional tabletop meter, it can be used in a variety of settings and methods.
Wall Mount
Edge can be mounted to a wall using the provided wall mount cradle, leaving no footprint on the available benchtop area. A built-in connector in the cradle powers the edge and charges its batteries. Edge’s minimal footprint is intended to help you free up valuable worksurface area.
Cradle and Electrode Holder
The edge has a tabletop cradle with an adjustable swivel electrode holder that holds the edge firmly at the ideal viewing angle while it charges.
edge® has a battery life of 8 hours, weighs about 8.8 oz., and has two USB connections.
Two USB Ports
Edge has two USB ports: a conventional USB connector for transferring data to a flash drive and a second micro USB port for charging your device when the cradle is not accessible and connecting to a computer to transfer files.
Data Logging
You can save up to 1000 log records of data on edge. Data can be logged at predetermined intervals, on stability (200 records), or on demand (200 recordings) (600 records). Current reading, date, time, and GLP data are among the items that are kept.
Basic Mode
Both Basic and Standard Modes are available on edge. The edge as an EC meter lowers features in Basic Mode to make operation simpler. The meter’s only automatic functions in Basic Mode are automatic temperature adaptation, automatic reading range, and automatic cell factor correction during calibration. There is no interval logging and the temperature compensation coefficient is fixed at 1.9% / oC. The user can modify these features in Standard mode.
