Hanna Instruments HI151 Checktemp® 4 Folding Thermometer

A folding thermistor thermometer, the HI151 Checktemp® 4, can measure temperatures up to 300 °C (572 °F). These thermometers provide a number of cutting-edge features, such as CAL-Check for an internal electronics verification and a motion sensor that does away with the need to close and reopen the probe when the meter enters a power-saving mode. The Checktemp 4 is offered in six different colors that can be assigned to various goods in order to prevent cross-contamination in the dining room, kitchen, or manufacturing space.

Description

Ergonomic Design with Rubberized Grip

The ergonomic design of the Checktemp® 4 makes it easy to hold in the hand. For a non-slip grip, the meter uses vulcanized rubber that comes in 6 distinct colors.

Waterproof Durable Casing

According to IP67 requirements, the Checktemp thermometer is totally waterproof. Continuous immersion in water up to 1 meter (3′) deep is permitted under the IP67 standard. If the meters are unintentionally thrown into a pot, vat, or any other container, they will truly float.

Penetration Probe

The pointed AISI 316 stainless steel probe is perfect for testing cooked, semi-frozen, and fresh food. Food with a thickness of 2 cm (0.79″) may be measured thanks to the NTC thermistor, which is housed in the sensor tip.

Instrument Quality Certificate for Traceability

With reference meters whose accuracy can be traced to NIST in the United States or another internationally recognized national physical standard, HI151 is calibrated to five points (-20.0, 0.0, 25.0, 60.0, and 120.0 oC) and tested at three points. Each meter is serialized, and an instrument quality certificate is included.

CAL-Check

All thermometers experience electrical drift over time. The LCD will always show “CAL” followed by “-0-” when the thermometer is turned on, indicating that the factory calibration has been confirmed and the thermometer is ready for use.

Wake on Motion Sensor

The power saving mode on the meter can be adjusted and turned off. You can set the power saving mode to turn off the display and save power after 1, 2, 8, or 60 minutes. When the meter is picked up, the built-in motion sensor recognizes it and immediately turns on the display once more.
