Hanna Instruments HI2040 edge® Multiparameter DO Meter
The innovative edge® tablet style metre is the result of Hanna’s vision, design skills, integrated production, and top-notch R&D. Edge may be used as a hand-held, wall-mount, or bench top metre thanks to its clever, slim-line design. Regardless of the format you choose, it provides quick, accurate results with laboratory-grade precision when combined with cutting-edge technology.
This metre is distinguished by its cutting-edge design, capacitive touch keypad, and simple user interface, to name a few features. Through a special digital electrode, DO is measured. This smart electrode allows edge to automatically recognise and record sensor type, ID, and calibration information when connected through a simple plug-in 3.5mm connector.
Edge offers streamlined screen features for routine measurements or extensive data display. It is programmed for both basic and advanced modes. Using the unique Hanna CAL-CHECK feature, it alerts users if the electrode is not clean or if the buffers are contaminated during calibration.
edge® has a tonne of innovative features that guarantee accuracy and usability.
Digital Electrodes
Advanced edge® electrodes have a built-in microprocessor that retains calibration data, which edge® automatically retrieves after the electrode is connected in. Additionally, the 3.5 mm connector on these digital electrodes makes it simple to attach them, so you never have to worry about the pins being lined up correctly.
Clark Type Polarographic DO Probe
The thin 12″ PEI body of the edge®HI764080 DO probe incorporates an integrated temperature sensor for automatic temperature correction of dissolved oxygen measurements. The PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane of the HI764080 probe employs screw-on replacement caps and may be quickly changed both in the lab and out in the field. A concentrated potassium chloride fill solution, or HI7041S, is provided for use with Clark-type polarographic technology. With this technology, a platinum cathode and silver anode are subjected to an external voltage to create a current that is inversely proportional to the amount of oxygen in a solution.
3.5 mm Probe Input
It has never been easier to attach an electrode; there are no alignment requirements and no damaged pins; simply connect the 3.5 mm connector and begin going.
edge® is remarkably adaptable. Without taking up the space of a conventional tabletop metre, it can be used in a variety of settings and methods.
Wall Mount
Edge® can be mounted to a wall using the provided wall mount cradle, leaving no footprint on the available benchtop area. A built-in connector in the cradle powers edge® and charges its batteries. The minimal footprint of edge® is intended to free up important workbench space for you.
Cradle and Electrode Holder
The tabletop cradle for the edgeelectrode ®’s holder can be adjusted to provide the best viewing angle while the edge® is being charged.
edge® has a battery life of 8 hours, weighs about 8.8 oz., and has two USB connections.
Two USB Ports
edge® has two USB ports: one normal USB for transferring data to a flash drive and one micro-USB for charging your device when the cradle is not accessible. You can connect your edge® to a computer using the second micro-USB port to transfer files.
Data Logging
You can save up to 1000 log recordings of data using edge®. Readings, GLP data, date, and time are all part of data sets.
Basic Mode
Edge® can be used in Basic Mode, which has a streamlined user interface and is best for basic measurements.
