Advanced pH Electrode Diagnostics
Edge has sophisticated pH electrode diagnostics to guarantee accurate measurements. Hanna’s unique CAL CheckTM feature, which warns users of potential issues during calibration, is included in the diagnostics. When using extra pH electrodes with a corresponding pin, the Sensor CheckTM feature for glass and junction integrity is activated.
Capacitive Touch
The capacitive touch keypad on edge gives it a striking, contemporary appearance. The keypad responds quickly and is delicate enough to be used while wearing lab gloves. There are no buttons that could become clogged with sample residue because the keypad is integrated into the screen.
Large, Easy to Read LCD
Edge has a 5.5″ LCD screen that is visible at a distance of more than 5 meters. One of the easiest LCDs to read in the market is made possible by the huge display and wide 150° viewing angle.

Digital pH Electrodes
With a built-in microchip that maintains calibration information that is immediately accessed by edge once the electrode is plugged in, edge pH electrodes are extremely sophisticated. Since the calibration data is saved in the pH electrode and not the meter, it is possible to switch electrodes with a digital electrode without having to recalibrate. This gives the user who uses many electrodes to monitor pH flexibility.
CAL Check
In order to notify the user of potential issues, such as contaminated buffer and clean electrode, Hanna’s patented CAL Check feature analyzes the pH electrode response in the pH buffers during the calibration process. After calibration, the measurement screen shows indicators for probe condition and response time. The offset and slope properties of the pH electrode serve as the foundation for the probe condition indicator.
Sensor Check
Edge continuously monitors the impedance of the pH measuring electrode when used with Hanna electrodes equipped with a matching pin to alert you in real time in the case of glass breakage. The junction’s condition is checked by Sensor Check during calibration. A report on the reference junction is also analyzed and shown.
edge® is remarkably adaptable. Without taking up the space of a conventional tabletop meter, it can be used in a variety of settings and methods.
Wall Mount
Edge can be mounted to a wall using the provided wall mount cradle, leaving no footprint on the available benchtop area. A built-in connector in the cradle powers and charges the edge’s batteries. Edge’s minimal footprint is intended to help you free up valuable worksurface area.
Cradle and Electrode Holder
Edge has a tabletop cradle with an adjustable swivel electrode holder that allows it to be charged and held steadily in position at the best viewing angle.
edge® has a battery life of 8 hours, weighs about 8.8 oz., and has two USB connections.
Two USB Ports
Edge has two USB ports: a conventional USB connector for transferring data to a flash drive and a second micro USB port for charging your device when the cradle is not accessible and connecting to a computer to transfer files.
Data Logging
You can save up to 1000 log records of data on edge. Readings, GLP data, date, and time are all part of data sets.
Two Operating Modes
edge has two operating modes: extended and basic. While Basic Mode limits the number of functions to only a few, Extended Mode activates every option that is offered. For instance, while basic mode can only do calibration to 3 points with 5 preprogrammed buffers, extended mode edge enables 5 point calibration with 2 unique buffers.
